I was viewing photos on the National Geographic Website today and found these photos. There are tons of photos plus photo tips given by a number of their photographers. I found Catherine Karnow and Jim Richards tips interesting. Above are two photos I found. I made them black and white which I think adds an appeal to certain photos. Catherine Karnow had an article concerning while taking pictures of people how to put them at ease to create the most natural faces.

Black and white photos are wonderful! I think they make us notice the detail and depth of the photo instead of the color, which we naturally gravitate to initially.
I used to read National Geographic all the time. What a wonderful publication.
i can't imagine how these images would have looked better in color - i think they look amazing in B&W

I like black and whites immensely. I have oftentimes wanted to take a photography class to learn things like this but never have!! I imagine I could do it right from my computer!
